The objectives of the Dialysis Technician Is to improve patient’s quality of life by delivering efficient dialysis treatment ,to Identify the treatment options of End stage Renal Dialysis In demonstrate and apply principles of dialysis therapy Io patients undergoing chronic Hemodialysis treatment to apply principles of safe practice in dialysis therapy, identifying the Importance of Control & prevention of infection, to demonstrate skill in maintenance of dialysis equipment.Dialysis is crucial for managing chronic kidney disease (CKD) by providing ongoing treatment to replace lost kidney function and supporting patients with acute kidney injury (AKI) until recovery. It also serves as a bridge to kidney transplantation for those awaiting organ donation.Key components of dialysis equipment include the dialyzer, blood pumps for circulation control, and dialysis solution containing electrolytes. Technological advancements have led to computer-controlled machines that monitor and adjust treatment parameters in real-time, improving safety and efficiency.Despite its life-saving benefits, dialysis requires strict adherence to dietary restrictions, fluid intake limits, and treatment schedules.

Eligibility for Admission

  • Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the Allied Health Sciences should have passed the qualifying examinations after period of 12 years of study with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology with minimum 65% marks in each subjects (Academic / Vocational Stream).

Hospitals are the primary recruiters of operation theatre and anaesthesia technologists. They work in the operating theatres and emergency departments of hospitals and nursing homes.Openings are available in the areas of transplant units, orthopaedic clinics, gynaecology units, cancer units, surgery, special care baby units etc. and also in the field of research, education and training. They are appointed in the workplaces of physicians or dentists who perform outpatient surgery.

  • Planning, Management and Sterility of the Operation Theatre premises
  • Suction, gas system operation and inhalational agent’s usage
  • Apart from the operation theatre they are employed in Emergency, Intensive Care and Surgical Units
